Silversea Academy

Introduction

Silversea Cruises is a privately owned mid-market cruise line with its headquarters in Monaco. Founded in 1994, it pioneered all-inclusive cruising with its first ship, Silver Cloud.

Client needs

The cruise market is highly competitive and ever more difficult to differentiate product offerings from the rest of the market. Silversea Cruises had a standard e-learning solution on a shared website, meaning they had no control of which competitors they were shown with, which further blurred the differentiation in branding.

Having already seen how e-learning was an important part of their marketing, Silversea wanted to improve on the training being delivered and at the same time retain control of their brand identity and positioning. They also recognised a need for more in depth information regarding their fleet and the facilities available and to be able to share that with their UK and Australian networks of sales agents.

What we delivered

The Mogul design consultants worked with Silversea’s marketing team to develop the ‘Silversea Academy’ platform to deliver a great learning experience for their travel agency partners.

E-learning is delivered through bite sized modules, with the ability to earn badges on passing each course. We designed interactive visual learning, and clickable maps to replace the existing text heavy training, making a more engaging and enjoyable learning path for users.

The Mogul CMS allows the Silversea marketing team to control content creation and how the training is promoted to their agents.

The training is supported by interactive marketing presentations, hosted on the Mogul Presentation module. This has been particularly beneficial during roadshows and marketing events where the professionally designed and curated content sets Silversea apart from their competition by strengthening the brand and increasing sales.
